Volleyball

This program offers all-around skill development for players of all levels. Instruction will be given on the fundamental skills and offensive and defensive techniques. These include the breakdown of proper passing techniques, approach, offensive selection, blocking footwork, and offensive and defensive transition.

3rd-6th Grade Volleyball: The 3rd and 4th play together, and the 5th & 6th play together. They will play a season of scheduled regulation games with officials, however, no scores/standings are recorded. This is a competitive program however, emphasis is still placed on learning fundamentals and sportsmanship. At the end of the regular season the 5th & 6th will compete in a league tournament. The OregonRec, with the guidance of Clay HS Volleyball staff will also offer coaches and players clinic during the season for all 3rd-6th graders. After the conclusion of the OregonRec season in it’s entirety, Feb/Mar, a few teams will be formed consisting of the more developed players and they will compete in the NWO Volleyball League at Premier/TVC in Maumee. This extended season will run Apr/May. These “travel” teams will be chosen by the coaches based on how the girls performed during the OregonRec regular season.
